Kenneth DeBaun, CAC, CRPS, CRRA has joined our team at Recovery Keys in St. Augustine, Florida. When talking about his experience and his passion in this field he had the following to say:
Since 2015, I have worked in the field of mental health and addiction. Throughout this time, I have worked with individual adults and families. I believe in empowerment and truly enjoy helping individuals figure out how to thrive in their lives. Being a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC) helps me to look at a situation from various angles. I have a strengths-based approach and will use a variety of strategies depending on the situation.
I have also gravitated towards working with family members who have addicted loved ones. As a result, I became a Love First Certified Structured Family Recovery Counselor. My passion is helping families develop a game plan for approaching their loved one and coping with the stresses of an addiction. I help families take action rather than wait for their loved ones’ addiction to get worse.
Utilizing the certification process of the Florida Certification Board, I have also obtained the following credentials: Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) and Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRAA).
